Abstract:
A controller (10) that controls driving of a host vehicle: notifies a driver of driving information relating to driving required for the host vehicle to travel in a corresponding manner to a traveling status, while the host vehicle is driven at a high autonomous-driving level in which the controller (10) is the main body conducing the driving; determines, if driving at the high autonomous-driving level has become possible after transitioning to a low autonomous-driving level in which the driver is the main body conducing the driving since being notified of the driving information, a transition timing such that the transition timing for transitioning to the high autonomous-driving level after driving at the high autonomous-driving level has become possible is later than that when driving at the high autonomous-driving level has become possible after having transitioned to the low autonomous-driving level without being notified of the driving information; and starts driving of the host vehicle at the high autonomous-driving level at the transition timing.
