Abstract:
A driving skill evaluation method according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes carrying out a setting process in which, among two or more curves, one or more curves are set as evaluation subject curves, and carrying out an evaluation process in which the driving skill of a driver of a vehicle is evaluated on the basis of vehicle travel data for the one or more evaluation subject curves. The setting process includes: calculating a plurality of first degrees of similarity by calculating, for each of two or more curves, a degree of similarity between each of a plurality of first data obtained on the basis of travel data about a plurality of drivers having a first skill level and a plurality of second data obtained on the basis of travel data about a plurality of drivers having a second skill level; calculating a plurality of second degrees of similarity by calculating, for each of the two or more curves, a degree of similarity between each of the plurality of second data; and setting one or more evaluation subject curves on the basis of the plurality of first degrees of similarity and the plurality of second degrees of similarity.
