Provided is a drying device 1 for removing a hydrocarbon volatile oil that has adhered to a heat exchanger, wherein the drying device 1 is characterized by being provided with: a conveyor 2 for conveying the heat exchanger from one side to the other side; a replacement unit 3 for applying a prescribed amount of rinse water to the heat exchanger, removing the volatile oil that has adhered to the heat exchanger, and causing the rinse water to adhere to the heat exchanger; a removal unit 4 for emitting a jet of compressed gas to the heat exchanger, and removing the rinse water that has adhered to the heat exchanger; and a drying unit 5 for applying a hot air to the heat exchanger, and drying the heat exchanger.
