Abstract:
The present invention provides a dynamometer protection device for a towing test, the dynamometer protection device comprising: a pair of forward and backward oscillation fixing bars which are provided symmetrically in the forward-backward direction and are in open or closed states when moving along a linear guide; and a pair of asymmetric cylinders which are provided asymmetrically on the forward and backward oscillation fixing bars so as to overlap in the left-right direction, are operated hydraulically or pneumatically and move the forward and backward oscillation fixing bars. The dynamometer protection device for a towing test, according to the present invention, has a wide allowable range for the forward and backward oscillation of a model ship and thus can be effectively used particularly for a model test or free sailing test in waves. In addition, the device is small in the forward-backward direction and thus can minimize the interference with other apparatuses, which are provided on a towing carriage frame.
