Title:
EDDY CURRENT SENSOR IN A DEVICE FOR NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING OF OPENINGS IN ARTICLES AND PIPES AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1982/000523
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An eddy current sensor in a device for non-destructive testing of openings in articles and pipes comprising a prolonged core (2) with windings (3), the conductors (4) and (5) of which are oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis XOZ of the core (2). The conductors (4) and (5) of the windings (3) are so interconnected that they form a spiral and are entirely placed only on the side surface of the core (2). A method of manufacturing the eddy current sensor consists in making first a plate sublayer (25) of an elastic dielectric material, of which the overall dimensions correspond to those of the core (2). Windings (3) and (6) are then formed on that sub-layer which is finally fixed on the surface of the core (2).
