Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an electric power steering device capable of reducing a driver's burden in steering even when a failure occurs.
[Solution] The electric power steering device comprises: a plurality of systems equipped with drive circuits (20a, 20b) for driving corresponding motor coils (3a, 3b); and a control unit (10) for controlling the control amounts of the drive circuits (20a, 20b). When a failure occurs in at least one of the systems including the motor coils (3a, 3b), the control unit (10) reduces the control amount of a system in which the failure has occurred to less than the control amount in normal time or stops the driving by the system in which the failure has occurred and increases the control amount of a system in which the failure does not occur to greater than the control amount in normal time.
