Abstract:
An electrical accumulator is proposed comprising one capacitor unit or a packet of such units connected in parallel and impregnated with an electrolyte based on an aprotic polar solvent and a mixture of tetrafluoroborates, tetra-alkyl ammonia and octa-alkylamide phosphonium. In order to increase the operating voltage, individual capacitor units or packets in which several capacitor units are connected in parallel are connected in series to form a battery. In order to equalise the internal resistance of the battery packets, each packet is provided with a screw which regulates the degree of compression to which individual units are subjected.
