Abstract:
A silver silver chloride electrode obtained by printing a silver-silver chloride paste ink prepared by dissolving a silver chloride powder in an aqueous solvent, then adding an organic solvent to the resultant aqueous solution while applying ultrasonic vibration, to thereby precipitate fine silver chloride particles, and kneading the silver chloride particles with a silver paste; and an electrochemical biosensor comprising the silver silver chloride electrode and a chromatography matrix. The silver silver chloride electrode has high homogeneity and excellent electrical conductivity, and also can be produced with ease. A biosensor which comprises a chromatography matrix and electrodes and has a simple addition part, a specific reaction part holding transferrably a specifically bonding substance being labeled with an enzyme and having the affinity with the substance to be analyzed, a competitive reaction part fixing the substance to be analyzed or a substance having a reactivity similar to the substance to be analyzed, and a part reacting with the labelling enzyme, which are aranged in the above-described order. the biosensor can be used for performing detection and determination with ease and simplicity.
