This electronic circuit breaker 400 is provided with: an open/close contact 2 for opening and closing an electrical path 1; a current detection device 3 for detecting the current of the electrical path 1; a setting unit 5 for setting an instantaneous tripping characteristic, a short time-limit tripping characteristic, and a long time-limit tripping characteristic for opening the open/close contact 2 in accordance with the current flowing through the electrical path 1; a first microcomputer 10 receiving the output signal of the current detection device 3 and outputting an instantaneous tripping signal; a second microcomputer 20 connected to the setting unit 5, transmitting the instantaneous tripping characteristic to the first microcomputer 10, and acquiring information of the current flowing through the electrical path 1 from the first microcomputer 10 and outputting a time-limit tripping signal; a tripping device 7 for opening the open/close contact 2 on the basis of the instantaneous tripping signal S1 and the time-limit tripping signal S2; and a current information processing unit for acquiring the current information of the electrical path 1 from the first microcomputer 10 and displaying or externally outputting the current information.
