Abstract:
An elevator device, comprising a car (2) lifting inside a hoistway (1), a governor (11) installed at the top of the hoistway, a tension pulley installed at the bottom of the hoistway, a governor rope (13) applied between the governor and the tension pulley in annular shape so as to be circulated therebetween, having a connection side part (13a) suspended from the governor into the hoistway and connected to the car and a side (13b) opposite to the connection side adjacent to the connection side part parallel with each other, and marked at a specified position in relation to the car, a light (17) installed between the connection part side (13a) and the side (13b) opposite to the connection side part of the governor rope and illuminating at least the connection side part of the governor rope, and an inspection window (16) installed at a position where the illuminated portion of the connection side part of the governor rope is visible, wherein, in the view field from the inspection window, the portion of the connection side part of the governor rope illuminated by the light is visible and the shaded portion of the side opposite to the connection side part of the governor rope is visible.
