Abstract:
Provided is an elevator suspension body having a belt-like core and a coating layer covering the core. The core is provided with a load-supporting layer. The load-supporting layer includes an impregnating resin and a plurality of high-strength fibers. In addition, the load-supporting layer is divided into a plurality of divided layers which are arranged with space therebetween in the thickness direction of the core. An intermediate layer comprising a different material from the load-supporting layer is interposed between divided layers adjacent in the thickness direction of the core.
