Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is, while effecting a narrower diameter of an insertion part, to illuminate with a sufficient light quantity over a wide range. Provided is an endoscope illumination optical assembly (1) comprising: an optical fiber (6) which light guides an excited light which is emitted from a light source; a first mirror (9) and a second mirror (10) which are positioned facing a discharge end (6a) of a leading end of the optical fiber (6), and scatter the excited light which is discharged from the discharge end (6a); and a fluorescent light body (11) into which the excited light which is scattered by the first mirror (9) and the second mirror (10) enters, and which discharges fluorescent light.
