Abstract:
An endoscope (10) is provided with an insertion part (10a) that is inserted into a subject (1) in which is formed a channel (11) for allowing a treatment tool (20) to pass therethrough. The endoscope (10) is further provided, inside of the insertion part (10a), with the following: a zoom lens (13a) that moves inside of the insertion part (10a); a magnet (16) that is attached to the zoom lens (13a); a Hall element (17) that detects a magnetic field generated from the magnet (16) in order to detect the position of the zoom lens (13a); and a magnetic shield (12) that is formed from a soft magnetic body, is provided between the Hall element (17) and the treatment tool (20) that passes through the channel (11), and is for blocking a magnetic field generated from the treatment tool (20).
