Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1997/049584

An engine starting control apparatus for preventing the replacement of ECU from causing an engine to become startable. A judgement element (20e) deciphers the signals from input terminals (40-1 to 40-n), and judges whether they have a function of an immobilizer. Only when the signals from the input terminals (40-1 to 40-n) do not have a function of an immobilizer, an operation is performed with the absence of the function of an immobilizer presumed.
