Abstract:
A file binding device capable of binding a bundle of paper placed overlappingly by folding a binding band attached to a mount, comprising a pressing substrate, a pair of sliders moved toward and away from each other on the pressing substrate, and an elastic stopper piece adapted to engage the sliders with the pressing substrate and suppress the movement of the slider relative to the pressing substrate and installed on at least one member, whereby the slider with the bundle of paper closed, is prevented from moving by the stopper piece and, because the binding band is engaged with a locking projection, the movement of the binding band is also prevented and the bundle of paper can be closed securely, and also because the movement resistance of the sliders in a direction apart from each other is given by the elastic action of the stopper piece when the bundle of paper is attached and detached, the stopper piece is not moved easily and the attaching and detaching operation for the bundle of paper become easier.
