Abstract:
Provided is a film-shaped externally used drug composition having superior usability and whereby residue resulting from a film-forming agent does not arise during use or after use. The film-shaped externally used drug composition is characterized by having a water-soluble cellulose derivative as the primary component of the film, and by containing hydroxyethyl urea. Also, the composition preferably is formed by drying an aqueous solution containing at least 50 mass% of the water-soluble cellulose derivative and 0.01-10 mass% of hydroxyethyl urea. Also, in the composition, the water-soluble cellulose derivative is preferably hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.
