Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a fingerprint identification method and apparatus, which fall within the field of liquid crystal display screens. The method is applied in an electronic device comprising a liquid crystal display screen, wherein a fingerprint identification sensor and a proximity opto-sensor are distributed on the liquid crystal display screen, comprising: acquiring a fingerprint identification instruction triggered by a user¡¯s finger; after the fingerprint identification instruction is received, determining an area composed of various proximity opto-sensors at a distance less than a pre-determined distance threshold value from the finger; selecting some of fingerprint identification sensors according to the area; and controlling the selected fingerprint identification sensors to perform fingerprint identification. By means of the present disclosure, the problem of resource waste caused by controlling all the fingerprint identification sensors on the whole liquid crystal display screen to perform fingerprint identification can be solved, thereby achieving the effect of saving resources.
