Title:
FLOOR PROVIDED WITH PNEUMATIC SPRING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1980/002267
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Floor provided with pneumatic springs, in which low-pressure pneumatic springs are mounted in array on the floor in a passenger's compartment of a train, bus, motorcar or a driver's compartment of a track, etc. to thereby absorb the simultaneous vibrations of the body and the floor by the pneumatic springs. This low-pressure pneumatic spring is made of a molded two-ply rubber layer in which two sheets of cloth are buried in rubber, and has rugged upper surface to prevent passengers from slipping. This spring is filled with the air of 0.5 to 0.8 kg/cm2. According to this invention, the low-pressure pneumatic springs are installed at the positions which are not concerned with the weigth of the vehicle body to thereby eliminate the faults due to high pressure in the conventional device, it provides superior effects such as remarkable vibration absorption, elimination of passenger's fatigue due to vibration of the vehicle, or the like. Even if the sway of the wheels and engine vibration are transmitted directly to the floor, they are absorbed by the low-pressure pneumatic springs so that the riding quality is remarkably improved. In as much as this invention employs a number of compact low-pressure pneumatic springs, it has superior advantages such as very inexpensive production, simple installation, and long air pressure endurance, and also does not need of complicated maintenance.
