Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a gas-shielded arc welding method and a method for welded-joint production which make it possible, without using any special device, to prevent oxygen from coming into a weld metal and inhibit slag formation and to stably obtain a welded joint having a bead of a satisfactory shape. The gas-shielded arc welding method is pulsed welding in which a pulse peak current (Ip) and a pulse base current (Ib) are periodically repeated, wherein the welding speed (V) and the short-circuit frequency (F) satisfy a given expression and Ar gas having a purity of 98 vol% or higher is used as a shielding gas.
