Provided is a gear-manufacturing apparatus with which it is possible to efficiently form a tooth surface capable of suppressing damage to a tooth caused by positional offset at the start of meshing.　The present invention is a gear-manufacturing apparatus in which a gear workpiece 9 having teeth 90 formed on an outer peripheral surface thereof, and a threaded tool 8 having one or a plurality of spirally extending machining teeth 80 formed on an outer peripheral surface of a base part 8A, are caused to mesh with each other and rotate, thereby grinding the gear workpiece 9, the gear-manufacturing apparatus comprising a control device 7 configured so as to execute a corner-part grinding control for grinding one corner part, among four corners of each tooth surface on the gear workpiece 9, using only a terminal tooth surface R1 or R2 that is one closed region set to include part of a terminal 80z, which is a tooth-trace-direction edge of the machining teeth 80, within a tooth surface 811a on one side of the machining teeth 80 or a tooth surface 811b on the other side thereof, the corner-part grinding control being carried out such that the terminal 80z comes into contact with the gear workpiece 9.
