Abstract:
A video recording/reproducing apparatus provided with a device for managing GOP-to-GOP comprises a GOP detecting means (15) for monitoring packets after multiplexing, which are outputted by coding and the multiplexing to detect the packets including the GOPs, a counting means (16) for counting the number of packets after the multiplexing, and an ATS adding means (17) for adding ATSs (Arrival Time Stamp) to the packets after the multiplexing and, when the packets including the GOPs fall short of satisfying the number of packets in the unit of a predetermined number of packets, sets the time to be added as the ATS forward by hours corresponding to the number of insufficient packets.
