Abstract:

Disclosed are a heat-sensitive printing layer which is thermally printable by using a thermal head, and an optical recording medium. Specifically disclosed is a heat-sensitive printing layer which is thermally printable by using a thermal head and characterized by containing a heat-sensitive color coupling material, a developer and a curable resin. This heat-sensitive printing layer is further characterized in that the curable resin has a modulus of elasticity at 30˚C of not less than 1000 Pa and a modulus of elasticity at 150˚C of not more than 1100 Pa. Also specifically disclosed is an optical recording medium characterized by comprising a heat-sensitive printing layer and a recording/reproducing function layer where recording or reproduction is performed by light. The optical recording medium is further characterized in that the heat-sensitive printing layer is arranged on a side of the recording/reproducing function layer which side is opposite to the side on which light is incident.
