Abstract:
This honeycomb structure (1), which is used as a filter for purifying a gas, is provided with: a core section (2) to which a plurality of inner cells (4) have been formed; and a tubular shell section (3) that encircles the core section (2). The shell section (3) has: a tubular side wall (6) that encircles the core section with a gap therebetween; and a plurality of shell partitions (7) that support the side wall (6) from the inside. The side wall (6) has a corrugated shape in the direction of encircling the core section.
