Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to suppress a decline in intake ability while increasing a rotation assist ability using the residual pressure inside a cylinder bore 25 when transitioning from a discharge step to an intake step. To this end, the provided hydraulic pump/motor is an axial type in which a cylinder block having a plurality of cylinder bores formed around a rotating shaft slides relative to a valve plate 7 having a valve-plate discharge port PB2 and a valve-plate intake port PB1, and the angle of an angled plate 3 controls the amount of reciprocal movement of a piston inside each cylinder bore 25, wherein with the rotational direction of the cylinder block as a reference, the opening shape S1a of an end section of a cylinder port 25P on the rotational-direction front side thereof and the opening shape B1b of an end section of the valve-plate intake port PB1 on the rotational-direction rear side thereof match or partially match one another.
