Abstract:
Hydrogen can be easily and efficiently produced at low temperatures by using a hydrogen generating material which produces hydrogen by reacting with water and contains at least one metal material which is selected from the group consisting of aluminum, magnesium and alloys of them and contains not less than 80% by weight of particles having a particle diameter of not more than 60 μm. A portable hydrogen generator can be manufactured by using such a hydrogen generating material. In addition, miniaturization as well as improvement of power generation efficiency of fuel cells can be realized by using such a hydrogen generating material as the hydrogen fuel source.
