Abstract:
Provided is an illumination device (10) equipped with a relay connector (14) which is assembled with a chassis (13) for relaying power supply between a power source substrate (16) and a discharge tube (15). The relay connector (14) includes: an insulating holder (20) mounted on the chassis (13); and a relay terminal (30) which can be electrically connected to the power source substrate (16) and the discharge tube (15) and is mounted on the holder (20). The relay terminal (30) has a pair of elastic pieces (34, 34) to elastically sandwich the power source substrate (16) so that the relay terminal (30) is electrically connected to the power source substrate (16). The pair of elastic pieces (34, 34) are formed so that the longitudinal directions thereof respectively intersect the longitudinal direction of the discharge tube (15).
