Abstract:
The present invention facilitates an operation setting of an image forming device corresponding to a consumable. This image forming device (1) comprises a toner cartridge (4) having a toner memory (42), and a control unit (61), wherein: the toner memory (42) can store toner capacity information stored in a region for an electronic signature, and toner capacity switching information stored in a region other than the region for the electronic signature; and when the toner capacity switching information is not stored in the toner memory (42), the control unit (61) refers to the toner capacity information to perform operation setting of the image forming device (1), and when the toner capacity switching information is stored in the toner memory (42), the control unit uses information about the reference destination on the basis of the toner capacity switching information to thereby execute a setting process for performing the operation setting.
