Title:
IMAGING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/055643
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a compound-eye imaging device including M (M is a natural number not smaller than 2) imaging systems each formed by an optical system and an imaging element.  The imaging system is formed by a reference imaging system and an M-1 dependent imaging system.  The imaging element of the reference imaging system has an imaging plane arranged on a plane substantially identical to an imaging plane of the imaging element of the dependent imaging system.  The imaging element of the reference imaging system and the imaging element of the dependent imaging system are arranged on a substantially straight line of the pixel arrangement direction of the imaging elements.  The imaging elements of the L-th (L is a positive integer whose maximum value is M-1) dependent imaging system in the dependent imaging systems is arranged at a distance of W × ((L/M + N) (W is a length of one pixel of the imaging element and N is a natural number including 0) in the direction substantially orthogonal to the straight line with respect to the imaging element of the reference imaging system in the plane.  With this configuration, it is possible to generate a image of a high resolution without requiring a complicated control of the optical system.
