Abstract:
A deceleration part of this in-wheel motor drive device includes an output shaft (38) linked with a rotating wheel (12) of a vehicle wheel hub bearing part (11), an output gear (37) which is a helical gear coaxially linked with the output shaft, and a first bearing (38b) and second bearing (38a) rotatably supporting the output shaft, the stiffness of the second bearing being higher than the stiffness of the first bearing. This in-wheel motor drive device is characterized in that when the orientation of an axial load (Fa) exerted on a meshing part of an output gear (37) is to one side of the output shaft (38) along the axial direction during forward driving, the second bearing (38a) is disposed in a position to one side of the output gear (37) along the axial direction and the first bearing (38b) is disposed to the other side of the output gear along the axial direction.
