Abstract:
[Technical field] The present invention pertains to an in-wheel motor layout and a drive method that are used for propulsion of a vehicle. [Problem] In a vehicle using a direct-drive in-wheel motor, there is a problem in that a load to an axle due to the self-weight of the vehicle and a direction change during traveling acts as a source causing mechanical damage. [Solution] A stator of a direct-drive in-wheel motor is unevenly disposed to the vehicle front-side semi-circular portion. In the stator, a terminal, with which a reaction of rotary torque opposing the load exerted on an axle during traveling is generated, is preferentially operated. [Main application] Mechanical damage to the direct-drive in-wheel motor caused by a load to an axle during vehicle traveling is reduced.
