Abstract:
The present invention relates to a polyethylene terephthalate multifilament having a strength of 11.0 g/d or higher and a toughness of 38 or higher, wherein said polyethylene terephthalate multifilament is produced by melt spinning a polyethylene terephthalate chip having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.8 to 1.2. The polyethylene terephthalate textile produced in accordance with the present invention has a high modulus, high strength, low elongation and extremely low permanent deformation, and therefore can be used in geogrids, industrial weaving, seatbelts, and the like.
