Abstract:
The greatest problems of information processing such as three-dimensional pattern recognition are excessive expansion of an address space, increased speed of coordinate-to-coordinate matching process, and reduction in the number of times arithmetic is performed therefor. The coordinate-to-coordinate matching process, which is indispensable for shape matching and pattern matching, is performed by utilizing the relativity of coordinates in spatial arrangement information, the coordinate matching being processed all in parallel by giving the relative coordinate positions of one coordinate point and another coordinate point as a query. The number of times matching arithmetic is performed is reduced by allowing the permissible range applied at the time of coordinate matching to be freely settable.
