Abstract:
An information processing apparatus, an information processing system and a program, wherein security and convenience are improved. An information processing system (1) comprising an IC card (30) that stores therein an encryption key and a registered password and permits reading of the encryption key when recognizing, by use of the registered password, that a user is a legal one; and an information processing apparatus (10) that stores therein folder information in which the hash values of the folder name, pass and encryption key are associated with each other, uses, when receiving from the user a request for storing data into the folder, the folder information to determine whether the encryption key read from the IC card (30) includes the encryption key associated with the folder, uses, if yes, the associated encryption key to encrypt the data, and stores the encrypted data.
