Abstract:
The purpose is to prevent leakage of applied keywords in a keyword search and to achieve an efficient search. A server stores an encrypted document and a keyword unit index having a tree-structure-type link structure applied in a search. A client transmits, to the server, a decryption key and the address of a root node which is the top node of the keyword unit index. The server acquires, and decrypts using the decryption key, node information for the root node of the keyword unit index according to the address; acquires (a) document identifiers for all leaf nodes included in lower nodes and (b) state information or the like enabled to determine whether all, none, or some of the documents corresponding to the document identifiers for the leaf nodes included in the lower nodes include the keywords; and acquires the search result efficiently on the basis of the setting of the state information.
