Abstract:
The invention concerns the navigation of aircraft (planes and helicopters) and can be used in favorable or complicated weather conditions, during the takeoff roll, takeoff, descent and approach. The system, which ensures the automatic correction of the course and the visual monitoring of the flight parameters at the stages indicated above, uses data from global satellite navigation systems such as GPS and Glonass. Such multifunction data arrives at the input of the aircraft computer from a receiver; other inputs of said computer are connected to the aircraft video camera and the control panel of the pilot. The outputs of the aircraft computer are connected to the inputs of the autopilot and the display. The ground part of the inventive system comprises conventional airport lighting equipment as well as powerful light beacons installed along the runway. Said beacons are provided with a control device. The system provides the crew with precise, up to date and easily readable information during the most complex stages of the flight.
