Abstract:
The present invention relates to an intermediate for preparation of porous silicon oxycarbide, a preparation method therefor, and a lithium secondary battery comprising porous silicon oxycarbide prepared therefrom as an anode active material. According to the present invention, an intermediate prepared by addition of POSS to a reaction mixture for silicon oxycarbide preparation, which is composed of a polysiloxane polymer and an aromatic compound, is pyrolyzed to produce porous silicon oxycarbide (SiOC), so that even though the porous silicon oxycarbide has a small content of free carbon regions compared with conventional silicon oxycarbide, a cage-shaped structure of the POSS is maintained at a pyrolysis stage to form many pores uniformly distributed in the SiOC matrix, thereby enabling the quick diffusion of electrolyte ions, and the contents of SiO3C and SiO2C2 are increased in the SiOC matrix to improve reversible capacity in the Si-O-C phase.
