Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a laminar flow chipping control and cooling assembly for a numerically controlled machine tool and a numerically controlled machine tool comprising same. The laminar flow chipping control and cooling assembly comprises: a plurality of first nozzles for jetting a gas and a plurality of second nozzles for spraying a liquid, the plurality of first nozzles and the plurality of second nozzles extending parallel to each other and being arranged to be staggered in alternate rows such that each second nozzle is surrounded by a plurality of first nozzles. The gas jetted by the plurality of first nozzles produces a laminar flow, and the liquid sprayed by the plurality of second nozzles is surrounded and carried by the gas jetted by the plurality of first nozzles, is mixed with the gas, and is atomized to form laminar flow mist spray having a predetermined direction. In virtue of the characteristic that the laminar flow mist spray has a stable flow direction, the laminar flow chipping control and cooling assembly of the present disclosure enables chippings formed in a machining process to move or drift in the predetermined direction under the action of the laminar flow mist spray, thus preventing the chippings from being wrapped around and gathering on a part being machined, tooling or a cutter, and accordingly achieving automatic clearing of the chippings.
