Abstract:
[Problem] To improve detection accuracy. [Solution] This light detection element comprises: a light receiving unit that generates charge corresponding to an amount of light received; a voltage conversion unit that acquires the charge generated by the light receiving unit via an input node, converts the charge into a voltage signal, and outputs the voltage signal from an output node; a signal amplification unit that amplifies the voltage signal; and a comparison unit that compares the voltage of the voltage signal amplified by the signal amplification unit with a predetermined voltage. The voltage conversion unit includes an amplification circuit that is connected between the input node and the output node, and a feedback circuit that is connected between the input node and the output node. A gate insulating film of at least one transistor included in the feedback circuit is thicker than gate insulating films of transistors included in the signal amplification unit and the comparison unit.
