Abstract:
A light emitting device is provided which can increase the strength of columnar parts. This light-emitting device is provided with a light emitting element which comprises a first base body on which a laminate body is provided, and a second base body on which the light-emitting element is provided. The laminate body comprises a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer having a conductivity type different from that of the first semiconductor layer, and a light emitting layer which is provided between the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer and can emit light through the injection of current. The laminate body includes multiple columnar parts, and connection members which are connected to neighboring columnar parts are provided between the neighboring columnar parts. The laminate body is connected to the second base body on the side opposite of the first base body.
