Abstract:
The present invention provides a liquid-crystal-driving method in which a difference in potential between a pair of electrodes provided to one of a top or bottom substrate is generated to drive a liquid crystal, wherein flicker and DC burn-in are adequately reduced. The present invention also provides a liquid-crystal display device driven using the liquid-crystal drive method. The present invention is a method for generating a difference in potential between a pair of electrodes provided to one of a top or bottom substrate to drive a liquid crystal, wherein in the liquid-crystal drive method, a drive operation is performed to generate the potential difference between the pair of electrodes to drive the liquid crystal, the drive operation having a second offset voltage with an absolute value that is larger than the absolute value of a first offset voltage.
