Abstract:
The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery comprising: an anode containing an anode active material; a cathode containing a cathode active material; a separator interposed between the anode and the cathode; and an electrolyte, wherein the anode active material contains silicon particles, and the Si charge depth represented by formula (1) below is 30% to 60% and the Si discharge depth represented by formula (2) is 10% or more. Equation (1): Si charge depth (%) = {(cathode loading amount + anode pre-lithiation capacity) /anode loading amount} × 100 Equation (2): Si discharge depth (%) = {(cathode loading amount + anode pre-lithiation capacity – discharge loading amount) /anode loading amount} × 100 In equations (1) and (2), cathode loading amount is the capacity (unit: mAh/cm2) per unit area of the cathode; anode loading amount (unit: mAh/cm2) is the capacity per unit area of the anode; anode pre-lithiation capacity (unit: mAh/cm2) is the capacity per unit area of lithium (Li) intercalated into the anode by pre-lithiation; and discharge loading amount is the value obtained by dividing the discharge capacity of the secondary battery by the area of the cathode at a discharge cut-off voltage.
