Abstract:
A lowly water-absorptive, large ceramic plate having maximum thermal expansion coefficients of 80 x 10-7 to 110 x 10-7/??C at temperatures ranging from room temperature to 1000 °C, bending strength of 250 kgf/cm2 or higher and water absorbency of 3 % or less by weight, and being 3 to 15 mm thick, 600 x 600 mm long or more, high in anti-freezing property, excellent in design and durability, high in workability, and optimum for an external decorating material for building construction. Further, the invention discloses constituents of a base material of said ceramic plate and a method of making said plate.
