Abstract:
This machine tool comprises: power sourcing equipment which has a first connector with functions of a power terminal and a communication terminal, and to which a tool is attachable; a powered device which has a second connector connecting to the first connector, is removably attachable to the power sourcing equipment, and receives electric power from the power sourcing equipment; and a control unit which controls supply of electric power from the power sourcing equipment to the powered device. (i) After the first connector and the second connector are connected, (ii) a response of the powered device to small electric power is detected, and then (iii) power is supplied.
