Abstract:
According to the present invention, a movement mechanism 3 causes a workpiece 6 to move relative to a cutting tool 5 having a convex cutting blade 5a. A control unit 2 controls relative movement due to the movement mechanism 3 between the workpiece 6 and the cutting tool 5, and the orientation of the cutting tool 5. The control unit 2 changes the orientation of the cutting tool 5 intermittently or continuously so that a cutting blade portion uninvolved in cutting generates a finished surface.
