A machining method of an automatic edge banding machine. The method comprises: A, when a material passes through a tape supply mechanism (2), the tape supply mechanism (2) conveys a material tape to working areas of a tape cutting mechanism and a glue supply mechanism from an external tape storage mechanism; B, when the material passes through a flush-cutting and head-aligning mechanism (3), the flush-cutting and head-aligning mechanism (3) cuts off redundant edge tapes on two ends of a workpiece located on a conveying mechanism; C, when the material passes through a fine trimming mechanism (4), the fine trimming mechanism (4) cuts upper and lower edge lines of the edge tapes of the workpiece located on the conveying mechanism to form arcs; D, when the material passes through a copying trimming mechanism (5), copying trimming is performed on sharp edges of the two ends of the workpiece located on the conveying mechanism; and E, when the material passes through an edge scraping mechanism (6), edges of the workpiece located on the conveying mechanism are half-rounded. The machining method of an automatic edge banding machine solves the problem that the edge banding efficiency of the edge banding machine is hindered.
