Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cathode for lithium-sulfur batteries, which contains maghemite as an additive, and a lithium-sulfur battery comprising the same. Functioning to absorb lithium polysulfide (LiPS) generated in lithium-sulfur batteries, maghemite, which is obtained by thermally treating lepidocrocite, has the effect of improving the charge/discharge efficiency and capacity of the batteries as well as increasing the life span of the batteries.
