Abstract:
To solve the problems with the prior art, a magnetic card has a laminated structure in which a magnetic layer (3) for data recording is disposed between a substrate (2) for supporting the magnetic layer (3) and a protective layer (4) for protecting the magnetic layer (3). The thickness of the substrate (2) is equal to that of the protective layer (4), and the magnetic layer (3) is disposed substantially at the center portion in the direction of thickness of the data recorded card. Accordingly, the change of the gap of the data recorded on the magnetic layer due to bend of the card can be minimized. Even when the card is bent, therefore, the data can be correctly read and written.
