Abstract:
A magnetic position sensor (100) including a magnet (32) and a magnetic flux sensor (36). The magnet (32) comprises a ring segment having a length and is polarized in a direction of magnetization (M) extending generally along the length of the ring segment to generate a magnetic field (110). The magnetic flux sensor (36) is disposed within the magnetic field (110) and is operable to sense varying magnitudes of magnetic flux density during relative rotational movement between the magnetic field (110) and the magnetic flux sensor (36).
