Abstract:
Provided is a magnetic recording medium capable of improving electromagnetic conversion characteristics. This magnetic recording medium has a tape shape and comprises a recording layer having a granular structure. The magnetic recording medium is subjected to a DC erase process. The average radius of magnetic clusters obtained from an MFM image of the surface of the magnetic recording medium is no more than 37.0 nm.
