Abstract:
In order to effectively use an electricity storage device reinforced in a vehicle, a management device (20) manages a second electricity storage device (10) that reinforces a first electricity storage device for supplying electricity to loads in the vehicle. A power supply unit (21) of the management device (20) steps down a voltage supplied from the first electricity storage device (2). A control unit (22) uses, as a power supply voltage, the voltage generated by the power supply unit (21) and monitors the state of the second electricity storage device (10) to control the charging and discharging the second electricity storage device (10). A switch (SW2) electrically connects or disconnects the second electricity storage device (10) to or from the power supply unit (21). The switch (SW2) is turned on when an ignition is in an on-state, and is turned off when the ignition is in an off-state.
